Mr Lim is currently a member of the Board of Directors of GP Industries Ltd, Sembcorp Marine Ltd, SM Investments Corporation and Bio*1 Capital Pte Ltd. He is the former President of RGM International and appointed as its Vice Chairman in 2007. He sat on the Singapore-Shandong Business Council and Singapore-Jaingsu Co-Operation Council, and on the Board of Commissioners of PT Indosat as an Independent Commissioner. He is also a former Chairman of EDBV Management Pte Ltd and a former Director of EDB Ventures and EDB Ventures 2 Pte Ltd.

Mr Lim has some 20 years of experience in investment banking, was a senior executive of Morgan Grenfell operations in Asia, and served as Chairman, Singapore Investment Bankers Association. Mr Lim has Bachelor of Science (Hon) in Engineering from the University of London and also a MBA from the Cranfield Institute of Technology.
